Elijah Turns One!!

I can't believe a year ago Joe and I were blessed with a beautiful, wonderful boy. I know its been a few months since I have posted and Elijah has grown. We will be going to the doctors for his checkup this week but so far he is right on track. I expect him to be walling very soon (which is very scary).

We were so excited that we were able to celebrate his birthday last weekend with friends and family like grandpas and grandmas; aunt and uncles, oh and of course his cute as can be cousin Miles. It is the first time we were able to all get together since Uncle Timothy was home. It truly was a blessing.

For some other news our family has been through a lot these past few months but thankfully God has gotten us through. Joe was in the process of switching over to a new company called Iron Mountain and a new position. He is finally beginning to settle in. This position is a blessing to us because we were not sure if he was going to even have a position. God works in mysterious ways. This position will allow Joe to grow and be a great example of a Christian. I am so proud of my husband he is a great daddy, leader and follower of Christ.

Well, that is all for now we truly love and miss all of you. We hope to see you all soon:)

Elijah is 10 Month's

Hi Everyone,
It has been a while. I have been meaning to blog, but time has sure flown by. Elijah is 10 months old now and he  has sure grown. Its hard to believe that he will be a year old in a few months. It seems that getting into everything is his mission now. He is now even begin to walk with furniture and push toys. Everyday he is learning something new. This past month we have  been working with a schedule that enhances his learning. He has adapted to it very well.
As a family we are enjoying spring time with planting flowers and vegetables. Just seeing everything beginning to  sprout and showing progress is such a wonderful sight to see.
We were able to spend Easter in Columbia as a family and also with Joe's dad and step-mom. It was really nice. Although we did miss being with other family members we were able to go to sunrise service and I made a big Easter dinner. It was a busy day but an enjoyable day.
Over all we are doing great and enjoying everything God is placing in our lives. We sure miss family and friends and we hope to see everyone in the near future.

Elijah's is Growing

Hi Everyone,
I have been meaning to post but its been a little crazy. Christmas has come and gone now so we enjoying the rest of the winter, well I am not really sure if it is winter down her because of how warm its been. Elijah is growing like a weed. He is still an itty bitty baby compared to others but the doctor says he is perfectly healthy. He is about 16lb now and about 26in. He is sitting up completely by himself and he is just about ready to crawl, we know it wont be long now. He is loving solid foods with a continuation of nursing. With him becoming mobile we are baby proofing the house for safety because he is getting into everything. He is also teething so he is a little fussier than normal but he continues to be a happy baby. Joe and I are doing great. I am loving being home with Elijah but I am looking for work and Joe is so happy at his Job. We considered ourselves to be so blessed in every way. We of course miss and love everyone.

P.S. Dont forget to check out the pictures at 6 and 7 months old!

Four Months Going on Five

Wow, I didn't realize that the time had flown by since I have last posted. Joe and I are so blessed with Elijah. We are enjoying every moment watching him grow, and I think we love him more and more every day. His personality is beginning to shine and he shows both of our traits. He is still nursing and we will begin baby cereal very soon. He is showing a lot of interest in food so we are beginning to gear up and start the food making process. We will be very cautious with Elijah's food choices because of allergies, and we want to build a healthy immune system. When we decide to begin introducing food to him, we will be making his food. This is so we can give him the most natural foods to control what goes into his system such as sugar or any preservatives. Most of all we will continue to push the nursing.

A new milestone that Elijah has conquered: he has been rolling over from back to tummy. He can roll off of his tummy but he gets frustrated with it. Very soon we will have a crawler! Since he can roll now he has found out that he likes to sleep on his tummy, which makes me very very nervous but there is not much you can do :)

Elijah was dedicated in our church on 10/16. It was such a wonderful service and we were very blessed that both sides of our family could come. We know that this is only the beginning of Elijah's walk of faith and we can't wait to see where God will lead him.

Elijah also had his first Halloween. Joe and I are not big on Halloween so we are hoping in the years to come that we will call it Fall Halloween/Fall Harvest and find some festivities in the church or fun gatherings. We really didn't do anything special but took some pictures.

Over all the last few months have been wonderful and we can't wait to continue to see our little guy grow. Joe and I hope you are all doing well. We miss you all!

Our 1st Family Vacation

We had so much fun on our first family vacation. It was very short but we were able to spend some wonderful time together and with our family up in Michigan. We were able to meet our sweet nephew Miles, who is absolutely wonderful and gorgeous. Joe and I agree that it is such a wonderful feeling to be an aunt and an uncle. We are just so excited about Miles. Its going to be so great to have Elijah and Miles grow up together. It was such a great vacation even though we are home and exhausted. We can't wait to see everyone again!

A New Addition at 3 Month's Old

I can't believe my baby is three months old. He turned three months old on the seventh of this month. On the same day we had a new addition to the family. Elijah's first cousin was born. We are so excited! My sister Andrea and brother in-law Timothy had their first baby Miles Emanuel Walter. He came on September 7, and weighed in at 9lb 4oz and 21 in long. He is absolutely beautiful. Andrea says he looks like a little pea pod when he is all swaddled up:) We can't wait to meet him soon. Mamma and baby are doing very well and are going home today.

Through the last month Elijah has been hitting all of his miles stones. He has been laughing and smiling like crazy and he is playing and grabbing on to his toys. Both Joe and I are loving every moment watching him grow. This month we are going to head up to meet the new addition in our family for just a short few days. It will be a great mini vacation and a well deserved one for Joe. I am going to try and take pictures and video as much as possible and I will try and share them to everyone. We hope everyone is doing well, we miss you all! Oh and check out the new pictures of our little man:)
