Four Months Going on Five

Wow, I didn't realize that the time had flown by since I have last posted. Joe and I are so blessed with Elijah. We are enjoying every moment watching him grow, and I think we love him more and more every day. His personality is beginning to shine and he shows both of our traits. He is still nursing and we will begin baby cereal very soon. He is showing a lot of interest in food so we are beginning to gear up and start the food making process. We will be very cautious with Elijah's food choices because of allergies, and we want to build a healthy immune system. When we decide to begin introducing food to him, we will be making his food. This is so we can give him the most natural foods to control what goes into his system such as sugar or any preservatives. Most of all we will continue to push the nursing.

A new milestone that Elijah has conquered: he has been rolling over from back to tummy. He can roll off of his tummy but he gets frustrated with it. Very soon we will have a crawler! Since he can roll now he has found out that he likes to sleep on his tummy, which makes me very very nervous but there is not much you can do :)

Elijah was dedicated in our church on 10/16. It was such a wonderful service and we were very blessed that both sides of our family could come. We know that this is only the beginning of Elijah's walk of faith and we can't wait to see where God will lead him.

Elijah also had his first Halloween. Joe and I are not big on Halloween so we are hoping in the years to come that we will call it Fall Halloween/Fall Harvest and find some festivities in the church or fun gatherings. We really didn't do anything special but took some pictures.

Over all the last few months have been wonderful and we can't wait to continue to see our little guy grow. Joe and I hope you are all doing well. We miss you all!

Our 1st Family Vacation

We had so much fun on our first family vacation. It was very short but we were able to spend some wonderful time together and with our family up in Michigan. We were able to meet our sweet nephew Miles, who is absolutely wonderful and gorgeous. Joe and I agree that it is such a wonderful feeling to be an aunt and an uncle. We are just so excited about Miles. Its going to be so great to have Elijah and Miles grow up together. It was such a great vacation even though we are home and exhausted. We can't wait to see everyone again!

A New Addition at 3 Month's Old

I can't believe my baby is three months old. He turned three months old on the seventh of this month. On the same day we had a new addition to the family. Elijah's first cousin was born. We are so excited! My sister Andrea and brother in-law Timothy had their first baby Miles Emanuel Walter. He came on September 7, and weighed in at 9lb 4oz and 21 in long. He is absolutely beautiful. Andrea says he looks like a little pea pod when he is all swaddled up:) We can't wait to meet him soon. Mamma and baby are doing very well and are going home today.

Through the last month Elijah has been hitting all of his miles stones. He has been laughing and smiling like crazy and he is playing and grabbing on to his toys. Both Joe and I are loving every moment watching him grow. This month we are going to head up to meet the new addition in our family for just a short few days. It will be a great mini vacation and a well deserved one for Joe. I am going to try and take pictures and video as much as possible and I will try and share them to everyone. We hope everyone is doing well, we miss you all! Oh and check out the new pictures of our little man:)

Two Month's Old Already!

I cant believe our little baby boy is two months old already. He has changed so much and it has been amazing to watch him grow. Over the past few weeks he been able to completely hold his head up and even push up with his arms. He has found his tongue and loves to watch new and exciting things like our ceiling fans! When we traveled up to Michigan we found out that he loves being outside.

Our Michigan trip was wonderful but we truly missed daddy and I know daddy missed us. We were up in Michigan for my sister's baby shower and during that time Elijah was able to meet so many new people. Now he just needs to meet some more family on Joe side which will becoming soon this fall for Thanksgiving!

Joe has been working so hard and we are so proud of him. Both Joe and I are loving every moment of parenthood even the hard parts. God has blessed us so much and he continues to guide us as a family! Well that is all for now, we miss all of our friends and family. I will continue to post pictures and keep everyone updated. Love you all!!

The first few weeks with Elijah

Well, it has been almost two weeks since Elijah was born. Its hard to believe. The labor was very difficult for me because I was in labor for four days and towards the end Elijah was not doing well so unfortunately I had to have a c-section. I wanted so badly to go naturally but my body and his heart rate was not cooperating right. Hopefully the next baby I will be able to do it naturally. I am still healing and it will take some time but I would do it all over again. Elijah is happy and healthy and that is all that matters. We are so excited to have this little guy in our lives. God has blessed us and we are so excited that God has chosen us to raise Elijah. We will continue to post pictures so that everyone can see him grow up. We have already seen so many changes with just the few weeks that he has been here, of course he has so many more to come. Love you all and many blessings!

We Are Getting Closser!!

Hi everyone, sorry we haven't up dated the blog in a while but our little man is growing like crazy. I have been having heavier contractions within the last few days so I am thinking or at least hoping that it will be within the next two weeks! We are ready though. Thanks to family and friends:) We had three different showers that helped us so much. Last weekend, we went to Babies R Us and bought the rest of the stuff we needed. We feel like we are organized and ready to go. Our hospital bag is packed and the car seat is installed. Well, I am posting pictures of the nursery that is finally finished and our beautiful yard hope you enjoy. If you can all help us pray for a healthy baby and healthy delivery that would be so wonderful. We will keep everyone updated!

The Count Down Is On!

Well, its been a while since we posted last. God has been putting everything into place. I am at 31 weeks now and feeling tired but really good. I am finding that its harder to sleep though as time goes on. Last weekend we had dad, mom, and grandpa and grandma come and help put in our yard and help with the crib (there are pictures under the tabs). We still have a lot of work to do before the baby comes. We only have 9 more weeks or 61 more days, which is going by fast so far. We begin classes at the hospital this week for preparation. So many things going through our heads excitement, worry, happiness and so much more. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. We will post more soon. Love and miss everyone!

It's A Boy!!

Well, it is official we are having a son. Yes in the picture he is sucking his thumb:) Today I am stuck home recovering from the yucky flu so I figured it was time to update our blog.
These past weeks have been a crazy in many ways. The best thing that has happened is that we have found out that we will be having a son and that I have been feeling him move more and more. Everyone except my mom said it would be a girl, but even I new deep down it was a boy. Joe and I truly feel honored that we get to raise a son, with the help of God. We pray that he will grow up to be a great Christian man.
This past weekend we started to buying up on baby products that are on sale. My sister and I have had so much fun with looking at baby stuff. Having her here with us has truly been a blessing. I will miss her so much after she leaves. The best part is that she is staying here periodically until the baby is born.
Next weekend Joe and I are excited because we get to go and do our baby registry and buy paint for the nursery. It will also be nice because Joe and I haven't had a whole lot of time together because he has been working so hard. Baby and I are so proud of him. So a day out will be so much fun!
Well that is all for now. We miss you all and we will post more later!
